About this site
Lembeh sits along the strait between mainland Sulawesi and Lembeh Island in North Sulawesi, Indonesia, an area better known for its muck diving black sand slopes than for wrecks. The Mawali Wreck lies within this strait, reached by small boat from one of the dive resorts along the Lembeh shoreline. It is rated an intermediate dive with generally light current, making it manageable compared to some of the strait's other sites. Divers have also reported manta ray sightings here, though that is not something to expect on every dive.
