Mendocino sits on the rugged Northern California coast, roughly midway between San Francisco and the Oregon border, known for its exposed headlands and cold, kelp-lined waters. Diving here is typically shore-based from small coves along the Mendocino Headlands, with sites subject to swell and surf that vary a great deal with weather and season.
