About this site
Merville Patches sits off the northwest coast of Mauritius, near Grand Baie in the Riviere du Rempart district, an area of coral lagoon and outer reef dive sites usually accessed by boat from the nearby coastal resorts. Divers here have reported blackspotted puffers, Indian Ocean humbugs, Moorish idols, scissortail sergeants, small giant clams, whitemouth morays, and yellow boxfish among the patch reef life.
