Middle Reef

Middle Reef sits offshore in the Red Sea Governorate near Safaga, on Egypt's Red Sea coast south of Hurghada. Reefs in this stretch of water are typically reached by boat from Safaga and rise from a sandy seabed toward the surface. The reef bottoms out at around 20 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Eagle rays and whale sharks are found here, and divers have also reported barracuda, hammerhead sharks, manta rays, octopus, sea turtles, snapper, stingrays, surgeonfish, tuna, and parrotfish around the reef.
