About this site
Middle Reef lies along Egypt's Red Sea coast, near the Marsa Alam area, over a reef bottom. It is a beginner-level dive with a maximum depth of around 20 metres. Divers have reported bannerfish, clownfish, snapper, sweetlips, and triggerfish here, along with lionfish and nudibranchs, and larger sightings such as barracuda, eagle rays, leopard or zebra sharks, manta rays, and even whale sharks have also been noted.
