About this site
Millers Point sits on the False Bay coast of Cape Town, near Simon's Town on the Cape Peninsula, and is a well known launch and shore diving area for boats heading out into False Bay, with rocky shoreline typical of this stretch of the peninsula. The reef here is a shallow, beginner-friendly dive reaching around 5 metres. Divers have reported nudibranchs, octopus, and wrasse on the reef, and old unexploded ammunition has also been noted in the area, a reminder of the site's use near a former military and naval area.
