About this site
Minna Island, or Minnajima, lies west of Okinawa off the Kerama Islands chain in southern Japan, within the Kerama Shoto region known for its coral reefs and the surrounding waters of the East China Sea. Dive sites around the island are typically reached by boat from Okinawa's main island or from within the Kerama group. The reef here tops out at around 20 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Divers have reported barracuda, clownfish, fusilier, garden eels, mantis shrimp, octopus, snapper, trevally, and even whale sharks around the island.
