Mwana Wa Mwana

Mwana Wa Mwana sits off Tumbatu Island, on the northwest side of Unguja, Zanzibar's main island, across the narrow channel from mainland towns like Mkokotoni where boats to the site typically depart. It is a shallow reef dive, topping out at around 10 metres, and is rated a beginner site. Divers have reported cuttlefish, flying gurnard, mantis shrimp, nudibranchs, and seahorses among the reef life here. The coastline nearby is marked by coral rag cliffs and small fishing settlements typical of the island's western shore.
