About this site

Oceano I (Naufrágio Oceano I) is a tugboat that sank on 1 November 2020 near Ilha Escalvada, 11 nautical miles off Guarapari, and was located by divers in November 2021. Maximum depth is 27.5 m with moderate current, so it is dived at Advanced level or above. Large schools of grunts, salema and spadefish gather on the hull, and visibility runs 5–20 m, best from September to May.
