About this site
Layang Layang is an isolated atoll in the South China Sea off Sarawak, part of the Spratly Islands group and reached mainly by liveaboard or the island's own dive resort. Navigator Lane sits along this reef system, where the atoll's walls drop steeply from shallow reef flats into deep water. The surrounding area is known for pelagic encounters, including schooling hammerhead sharks in season, though conditions at any single named cut or lane along the wall depend on current and time of year.
