About this site
Navy Island lies near Trincomalee on the northeast coast of Sri Lanka, in an area historically tied to the Sri Lankan and former British naval presence at Trincomalee harbour. Trincomalee's coastline is known for several dive and snorkel spots reached by boat from the town itself. The site is a beginner dive to a maximum depth of around 12 metres, over a bottom marked by cave formations. Divers here have reported angelfish, clownfish, and octopus around the site.
