A freshwater wreck dive in Lake Michigan, this site features well-preserved wooden shipwrecks from the 19th century. Cold, clear waters offer excellent visibility, often exceeding 50 feet. The shallow depth makes it accessible for divers of all levels. Expect schools of lake trout and perch circling the structures. The wooden hulls and intact masts create an eerie, time-capsule feel. Summer months bring the best conditions, with water temperatures peaking around 70°F. Strong currents are rare, making it ideal for exploration. The surrounding sandy bottom contrasts sharply with the dark wreck silhouettes.
