Ngatangiia Drop Off lies off the Ngatangiia district on the east side of Rarotonga, the main island of the Cook Islands. This part of the coast sits near Ngatangiia Harbour, historically noted as the departure point of the great canoes in Polynesian voyaging tradition, and the fringing reef here slopes out into a wall reaching around 30 metres. It's rated an advanced dive, a reflection of the depth and the offshore conditions found along this stretch of coast.
