About this site

Nusa Kode lies in the southern reaches of Komodo National Park, off a small island near Rinca in East Nusa Tenggara. This part of the park sits along the channels between Komodo, Rinca, and the smaller islets to their south, where cooler, nutrient-rich water flows up from the Indian Ocean. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres and is rated an intermediate dive. Divers have reported grouper, snapper, and nudibranchs on the reef here, along with occasional sightings of manta rays and mola mola drawn in by the cooler upwellings typical of this part of the park.
