About this site
The Oria is a wreck lying near Patroklos Island off the Lavreotiki coast of Attica, south of Athens, in the strait area near Makronisos Island. This stretch of the Attica coastline, with its scattered islets and rocky shoals, has long been a hazard to shipping heading around Cape Sounion, and it is a known area for wreck diving out of the local coastal towns. The wreck sits in shallow water, with a maximum depth of around 5 metres, making it a beginner dive. Divers have also reported damselfish and nudibranchs around the site.
