About this site
The Patris is a wreck site near Makronisos and Patroklos islands off the coast of Attica, in the strait south of Lavreotiki, where the Saronic Gulf meets the Aegean along shipping routes running down toward Cape Sounion. The wreck sits shallow, with a maximum depth of around 10 metres, and is rated a beginner dive. Divers should be aware that access has at times been subject to temporary closure by the port police, so it is worth checking local conditions before planning a visit.
