About this site
Parede Do Sardinha lies along the coast of Madeira, the volcanic Portuguese island in the North Atlantic off the coast of Morocco. The name translates roughly to sardine wall, fitting the rocky drop-off typical of Madeira's steep, basalt shoreline. It is a beginner dive reaching a maximum depth of around 18 metres. Divers here have reported nudibranchs along the wall, and there have even been sightings of mola mola, the ocean sunfish, passing through.
