Pelinaion

The Pelinaion was a Greek steamship that wrecked on Bermuda's northern reef line in 1939 after running aground in poor weather, one of many vessels lost on the reefs surrounding the island. The wreck lies broken across the reef in relatively shallow water, with boilers and structural pieces scattered among coral growth. It sits in a depth range generally accessible to recreational divers, and its position on the outer reef means it can see some current and surge depending on conditions. Bermuda's north shore wrecks like this one are typically reached by boat from the main island and are popular for their combination of structure and reef life.
