About this site
Pestbaai, also known as Lover's Beach, lies along the southwest coast of Curaçao, part of the fringing reef system that runs close to shore on the island's leeward side. This coastline is characterized by rocky ironshore and calm, sheltered waters typical of many easily accessible entry points along Curaçao's southern shore. Divers here have reported banded coral shrimp, bluehead wrasse, French grunt, and common lionfish moving among coral growth that includes greater star coral, lettuce coral, and mustard hill coral.
