About this site
Facing Maguelone abbey, 4 km off Palavas, a large rock mound about 50 by 10 m with smaller blocks around it on coarse shelly sand, in 6 to 10 m. The formation differs from the rest of the zone and links the Aresquiers bank with the Carnon–Palavas one; the base can be covered in twenty minutes before a slow ascent inspecting the cavities. Many shells and sea squirts; the site has been overfished. Boat access only, visibility excellent, current variable.
