About this site
Havelock Island, formally Swaraj Dweep, sits in the Andaman archipelago in the Andaman Sea, part of India's Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Pillar is a reef dive off the island reaching a maximum depth of around 12 metres, rated a beginner site and typically reached by boat from the jetty near the main village. Clownfish, fusiliers, and lionfish are common on the reef, and divers have also reported angelfish, bumphead parrotfish, crocodilefish, frogfish, harlequin shrimp, manta rays, mantis shrimp, octopus, ornate ghost pipefish, parrotfish, pipefish, scorpionfish, seahorses, snapper, squid, stingrays, triggerfish, and wrasse here.
