About this site

Pinnacles lies along the coast near Maputo, in southern Mozambique, in waters off the capital where the Indian Ocean meets the shallow shelf of Maputo Bay. Dive operators based in the city run boat trips out to this reef formation, which drops to a maximum depth of around 70 metres and is rated a technical dive. Divers here have reported barracuda, bull sharks, eagle rays, hammerhead sharks, mackerel, manta rays, and tiger sharks around the pinnacle structure.
