Piramides

Piramides sits off the north coast of Cuba in Ciego de Ávila province, part of the Jardines del Rey region, and is generally reached by boat from the resort areas around Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo. The site lies along the Caribbean-facing reef shelf, where divers have reported coral cover including lettuce coral, lobed star coral, massive starlet coral, and mountainous star coral. Fish life reported here includes Atlantic blue tang, redband, stoplight, and striped parrotfish, schoolmaster snapper, and white grunt, giving a sense of a typical reef community along this stretch of the shelf.
