Rincon De Carlo lies off Ciego de Ávila province on Cuba's shelf, within the stretch of the Caribbean Sea known for its fringing reefs and offshore cays. The area sits along the coastline associated with the Jardines de la Reina archipelago, a chain of cays and reef systems off Cuba's southern coast. Divers here have also reported eagle rays passing through the site.
