Point Fairfax lies on Moresby Island, one of the Southern Gulf Islands off the southeast coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia. The surrounding waters sit within the Strait of Georgia and Haro Strait system, an area of channels and passages between the Gulf Islands and the San Juan Islands to the south.
