About this site
Pontal do Norte is a reef and drift dive in the inner sea of Fernando de Noronha, Brazil. It is a site for certified divers, with large rock formations that make up the main structure of the dive.
The dive is usually done as a drift, moving with the current along the reef and covering more ground. Which route is taken depends on the sea conditions on the day.
Access is by boat from the main pier, as a day trip that normally sets out in the calmer morning hours and returns in the afternoon. All diving in the archipelago is managed by the park authorities because it lies in a strictly controlled marine reserve.
