Portland Rock sits off Jamaica's north coast in the Caribbean Sea, where strong currents attract pelagic action. The site features dramatic underwater cliffs, deep walls, and vibrant coral gardens teeming with reef sharks, eagle rays, and schools of jacks. Visibility often exceeds 30 meters, with depths ranging from 12 to 40 meters, making it ideal for advanced divers. The rocky pinnacles create swim-throughs and overhangs sheltering lobsters and moray eels. Expect thrilling drift dives along nutrient-rich currents that bring frequent encounters with larger marine life.
