Pulaski Shoal

Pulaski Shoal lies on the west side of Dry Tortugas National Park, west of Key West, marked by the Pulaski Shoal Light near the edge of the Tortugas reef system. The shoal is a shallow coral and rubble bank that has claimed a number of vessels over the years, given its position along historic shipping approaches to the Gulf. Access is only by boat, typically as part of a Dry Tortugas liveaboard or day trip out of Key West. Divers here have reported a mix of reef fish including Atlantic blue tang, Brazilian cocoa damselfish, Caribbean bluehead wrasse, redband and stoplight parrotfish, striped parrotfish, slippery dick, white grunt, and yellowtail snapper moving over the coral and rubble.
