Pulau Lang

Pulau Lang lies near Pulau Aur, part of a small archipelago off Mersing on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, within the South China Sea. Aur and its surrounding islets are reached by boat from Mersing, a journey of several hours, and the area is known generally for its granite islands and fringing reefs. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 60 metres over reef, is rated intermediate, and divers should expect strong current. Divers have reported angelfish, barracuda, eagle rays, nudibranchs, and reef sharks here, along with occasional sightings of hammerhead sharks and manta rays, and the strong currents noted at the site are worth planning around.
