About this site
Pulau Serengeh is a small island off the Perhentian Islands group, in the state of Terengganu on Malaysia's northeast coast. Dive sites here are typically reached by short boat rides from the resorts on Pulau Perhentian Kecil and Besar, in the shallow waters of the South China Sea. The site sits over a rocky bottom and reaches a maximum depth of around 24 metres, rated as a beginner dive. Divers have also reported barracuda, blacktip reef sharks, bluespotted fantail rays, green turtles, and Napoleon wrasse around the rocks, along with snapper, triggerfish, spotted porcupinefish, moon wrasse, swarthy parrotfish, tripletail maori wrasse, and bluestreak cleaner wrasse.
