About this site
Punta Gorda lies along the Guanacaste coast of northwestern Costa Rica, on the Pacific side of the country near the Santa Elena peninsula, and is typically reached by boat from towns along the Gulf of Papagayo or nearby coastal communities. It is a reef site with a maximum depth of around 21.3 metres, rated a beginner dive. Divers have also reported eagle rays passing through the area.
