About this site
Punta Gorda, also called Fat Point, is a dive along an island, with depths running from about 4.6 to 21 metres (15 to 70 feet). The shallow side of the island is rich in corals, while the deep ocean side is rich in marine life and includes a shark nursery in about 6 metres (20 feet) of water.
Large groups of common and spotted eagle rays have been seen floating gracefully above the site, and visibility has been great, though the water can be cool. The dive is rated easy.
