About this site
Punta Vicente Roca sits at the northern tip of Isabela Island, inside the bay formed by the Ecuador Volcano, on the western side of the Galapagos archipelago. This part of the islands is washed by the cold, nutrient-rich Cromwell Current upwelling, which draws divers to the region's western sites in general. The dive here reaches a maximum depth of around 20 metres and is rated intermediate, and divers have reported mola mola (ocean sunfish) passing through the site.
