About this site
Cabo Douglas sits at the northern tip of Fernandina Island, the westernmost and youngest island in the Galapagos archipelago, in Ecuador's Pacific waters. The site is a shoreline of dark volcanic rock along the edge of the Bolivar Channel, an area shaped by cold upwelling currents that flow up from the west. Divers here have reported Cortez rainbow wrasse and pronghorn spiny lobster among the marine life along this rocky coast.
