About this site
Raggies Cave lies along the KwaZulu-Natal coast of South Africa, on a stretch of the Indian Ocean known for its reef systems south of Sodwana Bay. It sits over a reef bottom, reaching a maximum depth of around 18 metres, and is rated a beginner dive. The name points to raggedtooth sharks, and divers are asked not to enter the cave itself when sharks are present inside it. Divers have also reported angelfish, lizardfish, scorpionfish, snapper, and stonefish around the site.
