About this site
The Rock Islands sit in southern Palau, a cluster of raised limestone islets between Koror and Peleliu, and Meyungs is one of the villages on Koror facing this island group. Wrecks from the World War Two era are scattered through Palau's waters, many left from Japanese vessels sunk during Allied air raids in 1944. Boat access to sites in this area typically runs out from Koror through the surrounding channels and lagoon.
