Ras Nasrani

Ras Nasrani sits along the coast north of Sharm El Sheikh on the Sinai peninsula, where the reef runs parallel to shore before dropping into deeper water. It is a fringing reef site with a shallow plateau leading to a slope and wall, commonly dived from shore or by boat with entry near the lighthouse. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 50 metres and is rated technical, though current along the reef is generally light, with divers reporting fast currents and stronger flow at the cape at times. Marine life encountered includes moray eels, nudibranchs, octopus, pufferfish, and scorpionfish, and whale sharks have also been reported passing along the drop-off. The shallower plateau remains approachable, while the deeper wall sections are where the technical rating and any current picking up matter most.
