About this site
Red Slave lies on the southern coast of Bonaire, near the old slave huts and salt flats that give the site its name, a wall dive along the island's exposed south coast facing open water. It reaches a maximum depth of around 60 metres and is rated a beginner dive, though surf conditions have been reported here and can make entries and exits trickier than at the sheltered sites further north. Barracuda are a regular sight along the wall, and divers have also reported eagle rays, grouper, and stingrays.
