Rubicon Point lies within Lake Tahoe on the California side, part of the shoreline protected within D.L. Bliss State Park. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 20 metres and is generally considered an intermediate dive. Lake Tahoe's granite boulders and steep underwater drop-offs are characteristic of this stretch of shore, and the point is a well known entry along the Rubicon Trail area.
