About this site

Sabalos sits off the coast of Quintana Roo, Mexico, in the Riviera Maya area near Playa del Carmen. It is a reef drift dive reaching a maximum depth of about 13.8 metres, generally rated intermediate due to medium current, with current itself flagged as a hazard worth noting. Angelfish, barracuda, moray eels, parrotfish, and snapper are confirmed here, while divers have also reported eagle rays, grouper, lobster, nurse sharks, scorpionfish, and seahorses along the reef.
