About this site
Saima (サイマ) is a calm cove on Kozushima in the Izu Islands, Tokyo, dived for its topography and table coral; suitable from beginner level, with no current. A channel with steep walls on both sides has spiny lobster lined up in its rock crevices. A shelf at 8 m carries a spread of table coral with a distinctly southern feel.
