About this site
Salon lies along the coastline of Inhambane Province on the southeast coast of Mozambique, an area known for its stretch of Indian Ocean dive sites reached by boat from towns such as Tofo and Barra. The province's coast borders a long run of open water off the Mozambique Channel. The site sits over a reef bottom to a maximum depth of around 16 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Octopus are common on the reef, and divers have also reported squid here.
