About this site

Sardina del Norte sits on the northwestern coast of Gran Canaria, near the small fishing village of the same name in the municipality of Gáldar. The coastline here is volcanic, with rocky shoreline and cliffs typical of this part of the island, facing open Atlantic waters. The dive site reaches a maximum depth of around 20 metres, is rated beginner, and visibility is generally great. Garden eels are a regular sight on the sandy patches here, and divers have also reported barracuda, cuttlefish, damselfish, grouper, mackerel, mobula rays, moray eels, octopus, parrotfish, seahorses, stingrays, and wrasse.
