About this site
The SAS Pietermaritzburg lies off Miller's Point in False Bay, on South Africa's Cape Peninsula. It was a Second World War era minesweeper later scuttled in False Bay to form an artificial reef, with the site now dived from the small boat harbour at Miller's Point. False Bay sits between the peninsula and the mainland, exposed to the cold Atlantic influenced waters that characterise diving on this stretch of coast.
