About this site
School's Out is a reef dive site off Pura, a small island in the Alor archipelago within the Lesser Sunda chain of eastern Indonesia, sitting in the strait waters between Alor and Pantar. It reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres and is rated an advanced dive, likely reflecting the currents typical of this strait. Divers here have reported barracuda, eagle rays, hammerhead sharks, trevally, and tuna moving through the area. The site is generally reached by boat from operators based in the wider Alor region.
