About this site
This rugged Atlantic dive site off Mayo features dramatic underwater cliffs and boulder fields teeming with life. Strong currents bring nutrient-rich waters, attracting large schools of pollock and wrasse. The rocky terrain creates fascinating swim-throughs and overhangs, often sheltering lobsters and colorful anemones. Visibility varies with tides, but the site rewards experienced divers with thrilling drift dives along its steep walls. Cold waters support rich kelp forests swaying in the surge. Watch for curious seals that sometimes follow divers. Best dived on slack tide when conditions allow closer exploration of the intricate rock formations.
