Sha'ab Marsa Alam

Sha'ab Marsa Alam is a reef site off the coast near Marsa Alam, a town on the Egyptian Red Sea coast in the Red Sea Governorate, generally reached by boat from the town's marinas and dive centers. It is a beginner site with light current and great visibility, over a reef bottom to a maximum depth of around 30 metres. Divers have reported angelfish, barracuda, grouper, lionfish, parrotfish, pufferfish, and wrasse around the reef. Some divers have also noted moderate current on the exposed side of the site and overhead sections such as caverns, so those features are worth checking with the boat's dive guide before entering.
