Shark's Ledge sits along the southeast Florida coast near Boca Raton and Deerfield Beach, in a stretch of the Atlantic known for limestone ledges running parallel to shore. Boats from local marinas in this part of Palm Beach County commonly run out to these nearshore reef formations. The site reaches a maximum depth of about 9.1 metres, making it a shallow reef dive typical of the ledge systems in this area.
