About this site
Touchdown Reef sits off the southeastern Florida coast, in the stretch of Atlantic waters near Pompano Beach and Deerfield Beach in Broward County. This part of the Florida coastline is lined with a series of natural limestone ledges and patch reefs running parallel to shore, typically reached by short boat trips out of local marinas. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 13.7 metres, making it a shallow reef dive well suited to the ledge-and-patch-reef terrain typical of this coastline.
