About this site
Shark Valley lies in the Caribbean Sea off New Providence, Bahamas, southeast of Nassau on the same carbonate bank that runs toward the Exuma chain. The area sits on the shallow platforms and drop-offs typical of this part of the Bahamian bank. Divers here have reported Caribbean reef sharks along with a range of reef fish including queen angelfish, stoplight and princess parrotfish, four-eyed butterflyfish, longspine squirrelfish, yellowtail snapper, and Atlantic blue tang and sergeant major.
