About this site

Tenerife sits in the Canary Islands off the northwest coast of Africa, and its coastline is largely volcanic, marked by lava formations, arches, and swim-throughs. Sharks Cave lies along this rocky coast, over a reef bottom typical of the island's basalt terrain, reaching a maximum depth of around 20 metres and rated as an advanced dive. Divers have reported currents at the site, and sightings there have included barracuda, damselfish, lionfish, moray eel, parrotfish, pufferfish, reef shark, and scorpionfish.
